OUR STORY

What does homesteading mean to you?  

For us modern homesteading is about taking control of our lives and providing for our families. 

~It’s about recognizing that the industrialized system isn’t the best fit for all of us, and we can choose to live in a way that's more sustainable. 

~It's about making choices that are better for my family's health and happiness, and giving my children the skills they need to be self-sufficient adults throughout their lives. 

~It’s about opting out of the consumer culture that tells us we need to buy more and consume more in order to be happy. 

 ~It’s a way of life that can bring us back to our roots, and allow us to live more intentionally. - it’s a way to teach our children remedies and recipes our ancestors once used. 

 

 ••It's our beliefs that led us to starting The Homestead Journey. 

 

 We hope you enjoy our little homestead shop! We have worked really hard to ensure all products are all natural, locally purchased and made with ingredients our ancestors once used.
